Sunset @ Karekare beach, Piha, New Zealand.
This famous beach was used as backdrop for movies like The Piano and for countless commercials.
It is a truly magnificent beach, really magical, and so unspoilt and not visited by many people.
The colors in this image are 100% pure and not editted. I overexposed the shot intentionally with respect to the sky, to make the sun and sky look dramatic, almost painting like. Also the grass in the front seems as if it has been painted...
